CuttingPlanter 2.0

Description

The CuttingPlanter 2.0 selects cuttings and plants each one at the same depth. This results in highly uniform planting, without the need to pre-select the cuttings.

With a wide conveyor belt, a large picking area, and a fast robot, the CuttingPlanter 2.0 is designed for improved performance and higher capacity. The cutting return belt brings cuttings that are not planted back to the front of the machine, so they can be offered again and kept in the process.

The machine can be adjusted to different tray and pot formats, patterns, and pot sizes. For greater flexibility, the CuttingPlanter 2.0 features an electrically tilting gripper with a wide range for larger cuttings, enabling angled pick-and-place.

The CuttingPlanter 2.0 is equipped with CuttingVision software, a touchscreen interface, a large access door and active cooling for the electrical cabinet, vision computer and robot controller. Its simple controls allow one operator to keep up to seven machines running at any given time.

Several options are available, including VisionAir connection, a pre-singulator for tangled cuttings and a belt washer for cuttings with agar or resin contamination.

To achieve this, all data created by teach-in and annotating for the cutting setups is collected in VisionHub. This data is available to all CuttingPlanter 2.0 users. This achieves the following:

• Improvement of sticking setups, the more data, the more robust the setups become.

• Time savings for users by using available cutting setups from VisionHub.
