Van der Avoird Trayplant, based in the Netherlands, has been operating from five locations since 2002.
Van der Avoird Trayplant specializes in propagating soft fruits such as strawberries and raspberries. Their production is driven by a strong focus on innovation and sustainability.
A few years ago, they approached TTA-ISO to request that their sorting process be automated. Meanwhile, we provided Van der Avoird Trayplant with their third selection robot. Soft fruit plants are selected into two grades. A 100% filled tray will be delivered directly to their clients, and a tray with plants will still need a period of growth. Van der Avoird Trayplant’s main reasons for automation are a lack of personnel, process optimization, and saving labor costs. In this customer story, we focus on the automation of this fast-growing company and look forward to continuing the pleasant cooperation and further expansions.
